At D'Alma Publishing, we believe that books have the extraordinary ability to reach the soul.
Our name comes from the Portuguese word alma, meaning soul. It carries with it a belief that has become deeply personal to our family: A reminder that the right words, discovered at the right moment, can comfort us, challenge us, give us hope and, sometimes, change the course of our lives.
For us, books have never simply been stories sitting on a shelf.
D'Alma began long before it had a name.
They have always been part of who we are, books were quietly weaving their way through our family's story.
I grew up surrounded by them, inspired by a father whose very first job was in a library. From childhood came a love of reading and a fascination with the remarkable way a book can open a window into another world, teach us so much, and connect us to experiences beyond our own.
For our readers
We want D'Alma to be a place where readers discover books with heart and purpose.
We publish books that strengthen families, deepen faith, nurture healthier relationships, and encourage personal growth. Every title is chosen with care because we believe every book should leave the reader with something valuable: hope, wisdom, courage, peace or a renewed sense of purpose.
For our authors
There is another side to our dream. We know that somewhere, someone is carrying a story, an idea, years of knowledge or an experience that deserves to become a book. We are passionate about supporting independent authors like us, who have meaningful stories, valuable knowledge and experiences worth sharing. We believe bringing a book into the world should never feel like a journey you have to navigate alone.
At D'Alma Publishing, we believe that every great book begins with an author who has the courage to write and flourishes when it finds the reader who needed it most.
Whether you are here to discover your next meaningful read or to begin your own publishing journey, we are honoured to welcome you into our world of books.
Because books do more than fill shelves.
They shape personalities and build families.
They strengthen faith.
They preserve knowledge.
They inspire hope.
And sometimes, they change a life.
We know this because they are still changing ours.
