Years later, books would write themselves into another beautiful chapter of our story. A shared love of learning, curiosity and meaningful conversation helped bring together two people who would eventually become husband and wife.

And then, books would take on an even deeper meaning. After the birth of our first child, I went through one of the most difficult seasons of my life, facing illness alongside postpartum depression. It was a time of uncertainty, exhaustion, and many questions.

During those days, books became more than something to read. They became a refuge.

Reading offered moments of comfort and perspective. Writing gave a place to thoughts that were sometimes difficult to say aloud. Page by page, alongside the support and care that surrounded me, words became part of a journey towards healing, rediscovery and finding strength again.

That season changed many things, but it also revealed something that would stay with our family forever: Words matter. Stories matter. And sometimes a book finds us at exactly the moment we need it.

A lifelong love of books had become something more. It had become a calling.

And so, D'Alma Publishing was born.

D'Alma Publishing is a small, family-run independent publishing business built on the belief that books can nourish the soul and leave a lasting impact on the lives of those who read them.

Our family brings together different experiences and perspectives. With backgrounds in medicine, science and business, we share a common belief that knowledge has the power to improve lives. Whether that knowledge is discovered in a clinical setting helping patients, or in a laboratory, developed through years of professional experience, passed from one generation to another, born from lived experience or quietly found in the pages of a thoughtfully written book.

And knowledge becomes even more powerful when it is shared.

That belief sits at the heart of everything we do.
